Smooth and sweet chocolate and banana drink. This yummy milk drink provides many of the essential nutrients we need to grow and maintain our bodies. Suitable for young children and adults, this is a quick, delicious afternoon drink.

INGREDIENTS
500 ml unsweetened fortified soya milk
1 banana
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
METHOD
- Place all ingredients into the smoothie blender.
- Blend for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Pour and serve.

- No added sugar. Lower intake of added sugar may lower the risk of obesity and cardiovascular disease.

- Make sure you get fortified soya milk to replace other nutrients normally in cows’ milk, such as calcium and iodine. Some fortified soya kinds of milk also have vitamin D added.
VARIATIONS
- Alternative to bananas can be used such as raspberries or strawberries but this may alter the consistency and sweetness.
- Plant-based drinks could be replaced with cow’s milk.
