Tuna Lettuce Sushi Bites

Nothing could beat the tuna or smoked salmon sushi, so what about enjoying it as a lighter snack bite.

Serves:  2 – 3 portions

Dietary: Vegetarian

Contains: fish (tuna, salmon) milk (mayonnaise, cream cheese), mustard

May contain: Sulphites (mustard)

Preparation time: 7 – 10 minutes

 

Ingredients

1 can tuna
1 tsp light mayonnaise or mustard
1 tomato, diced
1 carrot, thinly sliced
1 red onion, cubed
1 whole Lettuce
2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Olive oil
Paprika and cumin

or Smoked salmon and cream cheese.

 

Method

  1. Use the lettuce leaves as a base.
  2. Mix the tuna, lemon, light mayonnaise, tomato and spices together in a bowl.
  3. Place a spoon full of the tuna mixture on top of each lettuce leaf and align the thin-sliced carrots on top of the mix.
  4. Wrap the lettuce leaf around the mixture.
  5. Your sushi bites are ready.

For the Smoked salmon and cream cheese sushi bites

  1. Use the lettuce leaves as a base.
  2. Spread the creamy cheese, cubes of onion and tomato, and add the salmon on top.
  3. Wrap the lettuce around the mixture and your bites are ready to enjoy.
