Even croissants can be healthier when made with alternative ingredients, and even more so when served with fruit, dairy, vegetable or protein-based fillings.
Traditional croissants are a layered pastry, shaped into a crescent shape, made with butter and served with chocolate or jam and cream. However, there are healthier recipes for croissants which still make a layered pastry and can be traditionally crescent-shaped.
