Ricotta Cheese and Spinach Swirls

A perfect and easy to cook finger food, made with only 3 ingredients that can be eaten warm or at room temperature.

Serves: 15 portions

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

1 roll of puff pastry
250g of ricotta cheese
700g of fresh spinach or frozen spinach
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper

 

Method

  1.   Preheat the oven at 180°C.
  2.   Boil the spinach and when they are ready, drain them very well and let
      them cooling.
  3.   In a bowl whisk the ricotta cheese with the salt and pepper.
  4.   Add the spinach to the ricotta cheese.
  5.   Unroll the puff pastry and spread the dough evenly.
  6.   Roll the puff pastry from the short edge and cut the swirl (roughly 1 cm width).
  7.   Place the swirl in a tray covered with baking paper and bake for around 20 minutes.
